Somethin' special for turning 50

As of yesterday I'm the proud 1st owner of this. 8-)

(And I'm a '62 vintage too)

Can't wait for it to arrive. Never owned a new AVRI before.

Very nice Tubeswell, very nice indeed.     :blob8:

Happy birthday too.

I new a guy named Magic Slim and thats what he played through a BF SR, with a thumb pic and 2 finger pics. He used flat wound strings on the low end. He sounded great with that rig.

Your gonna sound great with that guitar and the amps you've built, for sure.

CONGRATS!  I love me a Jazzmaster, but sadly have never owned one.

Very cool.  Get yourself a Mastery Bridge for it.  You'll be very glad your did.  Or try to get by with that original one for a while, and then get the Mastery - then you'll know why I suggested it!

It arrived yesterday, and upon 1st inspection I found that three of the saddle height-adjustment screws were missing. (I noticed the intonation was wrong and went to adjust it and - Hello! - no screws dammit!) Is that a genuine vintage Fender experience or what?  (I guess it had been sitting on the showroom floor for a while and some sleazey-fingered asshole has nicked the screws for themselves. I have complained to the shop owner by email, and am awaiting his response.

I've always thought the Jazzmaster profile coolest.

That Ocean Turquoise finish just begs to play surf music!

Too bad about the bridge screws, I would have to blame the shop not Fender, some one picked it up and sent it off but didn't bother with a once over??

Oh! love that brown tolex case too! very vintage looking!
