Princeton Reverb cabinet plans
« on: February 16, 2012, 12:03:10 pm »
Does anyone have access to blackface princeton reverb cabinet plans?

I have a project coming up where I'll need a natural wood cabinet built.  If I have a local builder do the cab for me, he needs plans.

If no one post it, I have a BF PR that I would measure up for you.

Have you considered a 12" speaker?

Hey Volvo,

Where did you get that? Is it from a web site that has most or all of the Fender cab plans?

+1 on what jjasilli said.

But, watch out if you go with a ceramic 12" in that cab. I put a ceramic 12" in a tweed deluxe cab which is close in size to a BF PR, and the mag was too close to one of the output tubes, darn thing light up like a light bulb.

Had to make a new speaker baffle to move the speaker away from the power tube.

Yes, this is going to use a 12" speaker.

Still putting details together.  I am thinking of using an alnico speaker (Weber 12a125?) in this amp.  This project will be much like the attached pic except have a natural stained wood cabinet.

Last time I built this circuit I used Weber transformers.  This time around I am leaning to using Heyboer's.

Thanks for finding that drawing!  :worthy1:

I fit a 12" speaker in the stock Princeton cab --used a jig saw to enlarge the 10" hole in the stock baffle board --  but then had to grind away a bit of the speaker frame to clear the PT.

I see that the speaker in the pic is off center away from the power tubes.

Nice looking amp.
