Yeah, the surfcaster guy has sort of changed his bumble bee lead to the flight of the bumble bee type lead
The ventures version was not like that
But I like the shred type thing he has going

I'm not sure what it is about surf music.  It has a hook into me... I grew up in the Caribbean and FL on the coast.  My guess is that I heard it a lot on AM radio when I was really small and it got into the proto-brain.    It surely has a feel all its own in any case.

Yes, I surf on a surfboard, but that was a more recent development than getting back into surf music as an adult (first The Ventures, then Los Straitjackets when I was living in Boulder before moving back to FL).
