Does anyone have any knowledge of the Ampeg GV15 tube amp? I think this is a 1968 model. Seems to be pretty rare. Any good or bad info is welcome

6L6GC's at 480dcv on their plates, 475dcv on their screens with grid bias. I'm betting every bit of 40w, easy.

Yeah thats too much for me. 475V plate is louder than what im lovin these days. Though Ampegs do have there own unique tone. Now if it was an Ampeg Gemini I or II i wouldnt hesitate. I miss the few i had. I really like that Echo verb they have

That's what the schemo says anyway, 480dcv plates. Depending on when the PT for it was made maybe even a bit more. Might have bin a 115v primary?

Aspen Pittman (Groove Tubes) said that the verb in Ampegs was his favorite. I've never played through one.    :dontknow:

If you get the chance go ahead and play through it for a while. Always good to get more samples of amp sounds in your head from playing them.
