I just found it and it's one of my favorite threads so far....

EMOTION.....I've always strived to be an emotional player and have based most of my influences on it, and would never try to coax an emotional solo out of a SS amp.........there's just something to the feel and feedback that we get from these amps that can
NEVER be modeled.....
Anyway, I believe that there are some glaring omissions from the thread, and I don't think anyone was ever named the "winner of the "contest"

This one is for "Ritchie"....it actually proves that Blackmore has a soul (still not sure about Jim).....it has always been in the back of my head, ever since I was 15 and heard it for the first time....I used to play it over and over on the jukebox in a local pizza place because it was a B-side from the Perfect Strangers album....I immediately learned the natural minor scale and never looked back,,,and when I pickup a guitar I still try to sound like this:
