Extension speaker jack wiring
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My first amp, i just installed a speaker jack. This time I want to put in the extension jack also. I just want to make sure i have the wiring right. This is an AB763 layout.
The green wire from the OT goes to the SPKR jack. Then it jumps over to the EXT. jack and then to the 820 ohm resistor.
The other two connectors on the SPKR jack are jumped together.
The black wire from the OT connects to the other connector of the EXT. jack.
Believe it or not, I couldn't find this info anywhere except schematics, and I noticed that on a Fender Bassman, the black and green wires are reversed.
Thanks for the time.

That's right how you wire the out put jacks. Use a shorting jack for the speaker jack and a normal jack for the extension speaker jack.
You are also right that in the SF Bassman (AB165) the green wire of the OT goes to ground. Thats because the feedback loop inserts direct to the grid of the PI and not to the tail resistor. If the green wire and the black wire would be switched that would cause positive feedback in stead of negative feedback.
