Fender Pro Reverb upper Back panel ordered-
« on: February 06, 2013, 11:27:52 am »
Just ordered the panel for 1969 Pro Reverb I'm working on from MoJo parts for $27.00 plus $9.00 shipping=total $36.00. Considering the minimum order of one Yrd of black tolex for about $15.00 plus additional shipping not counting obtaining a 24 7/16" X 6" x 1/4" plywood and cutting it out---I thought it would be hard to beat!!! I could have made it, no problem but at this price it didn't seem worth the ware and tare on my part. Did I miss someting or is this a good value? Platefire

If it is for a customer, make sure to give him the old part, as the vintage weenies would complain about it, but as long as you don't have to alter anything you're good.

Well, the upper back plate was missing. The customer said he had made an attempt to find a vintage one on e-bay but couldn't find one. So when I told him about the one mojo had, he said go for it. Also all his tube shields were missing. I had 3 on hand and ordered 3 more. Two preamp tubes had one screw missing from their sockets and I replaced those. He should have a whole amp now!

I got the backplate in yesterday and it was a perfect fit and tolex match. I'm waiting for the screws to come in to mount it. Platefire

Well, that's a whole other thing, then.
