My 40 year strat-style project
« on: June 12, 2013, 01:21:15 am »
Working on yet another re-do of my old mahogany strat variant.  It has been through a couple necks, several pick guard and pickup changes, and now a change from tuneomatic to a wraparound bridge.

The Dimarzio DLX-90 and Bluesbucker combo is the current leader in my new reality show, the Pullshocks Pickup Pickout Test.

I hearby Christen this guitar "Mind Bender". My mother was a Gibson, my Daddy was a Fender---that's why they call me Mind Bender. Looks like you have the best of both worlds. Plate
On the right track now<><

Looks nice!

I've got that album buried in a box in the basement.

Can't remember their name, saw them in the mid 70's, they were opening act on a 3 band bill. They must have been OK cuz I bought their record?

I was thinking latley of building a strat with a mahogany body. I used to have an El Maya mahogany stratocaster. I think of how i butchered it. I get sick when i think about that guitar. I was a dummy. (still am sometimes)

plexi 50, don't feel bad, I put a DiMarzio super distortion in my '52 L.P.!!!!! The front P.U sounded amazing, (even back then I could appreciate it) the rear was also beautiful, but went out. Didn't know what I do now, 30 something yrs later, and in my defense, someone had painted it red,....still, if I die, go to heaven, and have to atone for any sins, that's the one I'll be worried about.
