A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

Doug,

You did tell them the part about having to post their home and cell numbers in case we need to get ahold of them?

I suppose this means that Sluckey and I  now have to share the moderator perks of the  limo, Lear jet and Caribbean condo.   :BangHead: :cussing:

 :icon_biggrin:

Seriously,  HotBluePlates is my amp building mentor and got me my start. Great guy, great guitarist and super knowledgeable. Did I mention he can shoot pistols like nobody's business.

And I always appreciate Willabe's perspective and posts. Great stuff.

Welcome aboard guys!  Definitely appreciate the help and all that you guys bring to the forum.

Best regards and respect,    Jeff

Yes, cell phone numbers please so they can call at 3am and ask what they should bias their preamp tubes at?

I see you have already been warned-- don't drink the coffee in the moderator-lounge. (It doesn't even etch PCB so good any more.)

Wow, I did not know what HBP was talking about.  You are going to be one of the Moderators.  That is way cool.  You to have been a great help to me and you know that.

Willabe, It is difficult not to call you Brad since we have spoken so much.  I look forward to getting my hand slapped as you know I don't always stick to the forum rules, however remember we dig a lot of the same music. :icon_biggrin:

Congratulations my Friend.  With 2 new moderators, I feel like we are going to lose one or 2.  If that be the case, I cannot think of 2 better replacements. :m2 :wav:
 :blob8:

Thank you so much for helping me to understands tubes.  Did I say that?  This hobby is way out of hand as I sold down to 7 amps (just builds, I still have my collection minus a 64 Vibrolux) then decided to learn true Point to Point.  Well in doing so I discovered I have a ton of octal preamp tubes NIB.  Now I have a bunch of the little oldschool valcos, fenders in chassis and one is in a old printed large tomato can.  It is on consignment and getting a lot of attention, but no sale.  They do sound sweet.

We did not lose 2 moderators, only one.

Geezer has been so busy with other things he does not have much time to spend here so he is back to being a regular forum member
PRR is still a forum moderator

I assumed PRR was still on-board since he welcomed the newbies.  I may type with southern drawl, but that don't me we is stupid down here you hillbilly. :l2:

Since Sluckey retired, he was the only one I considered moving back to member status.  I was hoping not and it is great news to hear he is not.

Now back to work, the boss may get mad at me.

Damn, I'm always late to the party on good stuff like this.  :cussing: I noticed the changes for several weeks at least but I need to hit that button "show unread posts since last visit" more often. However, with vacation, family, work, and actually getting building and repair work done while still playing out some still - there's only so many hours in the day. With all said, I would be remiss to not to offer a congratulations & well done by the current mods on two great selections and guys.
