I remember hearing his performance at the 1969 texas pop festival for the first time...wow. WOW.
He is a major inspiration, to say the least, and will continue living on in my brain until i die.

I saw him live maybe 7-8 times in Texas.  What a great player!   He had so much energy in the early days.  It was remarkable.

Never been much of a fan but always recognized his great talent. He's always been there carrying on in spite of his problems Listening to that last post blues song reminds me a lot of SRV---not so much in his lead playing but in his vocal and guitar phrasing/cording. I thinking SRV must of have been a fan because it seems to have been reflected in his playing. Sorry to hear he's passed. Platefire

The  Second Winter album is one of my fav's
I still have the original 3 sided vinyl album here


Too sad that another great player is gone

We played this version which was a dual guitar assault by Johnny and Rick Derringer on "Roadwork" by Edgar Winter's White Trash (The best band name for an albino frontman!)
