At one point 4 out of 5 of them seemed to be bad

the spot welded ends just fell out of them

Yeah I found that problem with  the spot welds before, I hope this one is up to scratch , They do sell them , mine is on it's way :-)

Hi Doug -

I was tracking down an issue in my Revibe, and I think I found another couple of cut and paste errors on the Revibe layout. In the schematic, C24 and C25 are .047, but on the layout they are .0047. I'm guessing you cut and pasted C31, which really is .0047

C24 was wrong on the layout but it was correct on the schematic and BOM

Sorry, C25 was a typo, I meant C28

There were 3 .0047 in a row, I think the last two (24 and 28) are .047

This may be a dumb question but I'll ask it anyway. Is the ReVibe intended to power a speaker? I am new to this and really liked the sound of the ReVibe, would like to build a complete amp out of it.

No, it is an effect just like a stand alone reverb unit. You plug into it and then plug the revibe into an amplifiers

what's up with the extra turret on the second row from the bottom, which is to the right of the 68k resistor and to the left of the 220k resistor off of V3 pin 5
12 component columns from the left?

The lug was on the layout, but not on the board?


I don't remember if I had to remove it from the CNC file or not

Is there a simple way to use a 2-button stomp box for this?   Use a stereo jack maybe and hook up J5 and J6 (from the schematic) accordingly?  I was curious as the layout seems to use a separate stomp for each.

EDIT:  Or do you just use RCA jacks, and then get that 2 button fender stomp box from Doug's Foot Pedals page?  That looks like it would work.. The Vibrato uses the grounded shield one right?     Sorry for the dumb questions!

I don't see any reason you couldn't do that.  Just connect one of the two wires to the tip, one to the ring, and ground the grounding point, then have two separate switches in a stomp box type setup with one connected to the tip, the other to the ring.  It accomplishes the same thing, you just need to have the switch lift ground or send to ground for both.

Yeah I wanted to make a more traditional style "Stomp" box (1590B) with 2 Big stomp switches in it to fit the aesthetic of my pedal board when I decide to tackle this project. I'd have to use a stereo plug end on my box cord, but that's no biggy.   Something to think about.  Thanks for the reply :)

It's exactly the same as a Vintage Fender foot switch
So as long as you do it that way, you are good to go

Very Cool.  Thank you good sirs!   I already bought the reverb tank from you recently to make a reverb vibrochamp, but I'm going to just go regular viborchamp and build a revibe  instead!  Appreciate the help!
