Does any one have a source for a board for use in converting to point to point in a 1997 HRD?

Yes!     :icon_biggrin:

Our host Doug makes many different ptp boards, look in here;

http://el34world.com/Forum/index.php?board=15.0

You can design your own and send him the drawing and he will make it, info about how to do this is found in the link.

Not really. Your HRD has 6L6s. So pick one of the larger AB763 amps. The turret board will be the same for all the two output tube AB763 amps.
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

Sorry to kick a dead horse here, but all my searches lead to this. Again, I'm trying to make a point to point wired amp using my Hot Rod Deville and any parts from it. I understand to use an AB763 but which one? I'm somewhat of a novice and was hoping to find some step by step instructions and some diagram layouts as well as pictures. I want to keep the hot rod deville but get rid of the PCB's if that makes sense? I was in the middle of a Fromel mod when I decided this. Sorry to revive this old thread. Thanks in advance!

point to point

as in turret board or 'old school ?

like was pointed out, pick ANY 763 and you're 95.7% there in turret.  If you want pin 2 to standoff to pin 3 to standoff to cap.........  That is art  :icon_biggrin:

FWIW, not point-to-point, but the amp garage has circuit boards available for HRD conversions,  See, e.g.:  https://el34world.com/Forum/index.php?topic=25127.msg274685#msg274685

 Hoffman has boards, layout, schematic, information, bill or materials for a  one channel AB763 on his Library of Information website. https://el34world.com/schematics.htm

This attachment (below) is from that link.

The reference to the AmpGarage conversion is to turn the amp into a Dumble clone.  And that conversion uses a PCB board.  Since you reference being a novice (and the D clone has relays and channel switching and is somewhat complicated) and you're not wanting a PCB board, then I'm not sure the AmpGarage board is what you want?

However, Hoffman's layout board is a true turret board and is excellent quality.

with respect, Tubenit
