Simple mains wiring
« on: February 23, 2015, 08:31:10 am »
I've started using illuminated power switches in my builds. They make for a very simple, uncluttered mains wiring. Even simpler if used with a fused IEC receptacle. It's a good solution for tight spaces. Looks like this...

BTW, Radio Shack has a couple styles of illuminated switches for real cheap (80-90% off). Still got a few days left.
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

I can post the Visio file if you want to add any of those components to your stencils.

Kill 3 birds with 1 stone and at that price? Cut 1 hole not 3, less panel space with a 2P1T switch for a little better safety. Light up power switch even comes in different colors.

I like it!
