Pickup Lines...
« on: May 14, 2015, 05:58:07 pm »
 :icon_biggrin:
I have an archtop with two surface mounted pickups, re-issue De'Armonds
My neck pickup is a fair bit louder than my bridge pickup(like it would be acousticaly)
But I'd like to balance them a little better
I only have a master volume control for both pickups on the pick guard and I'm not into making more holes right now
The only way I can adjust their volume is via the pickup poles and they're maxed out in relation to the strings.
So
without adding individual volume controls, can I put a small resistor in series with the bridge pickup, prior to the switch (or would it be a bleed to ground rather than in series?)
And if this makes for high end loss can I get around that(maybe a cap across the resistor)

Pickup lines??? I sure had something else in mind.   :icon_biggrin:

One of my favorite pickup lines came from Junior Samples. "Lulu, for a fat girl you sho don't sweat much!"

That's BR-549....
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

Wow this is really one of those "the lord helps those who help themselves" threads :icon_biggrin:

Though I find that particular quote works best at buffet dinners

Now what to do with all that useful advice??

An ex-girlfriend of mine once said that a fellow guitarist tried to pick her up with the line

"I don't know if it's the champagne, or the moonlight, but your eyeballs......"

I didn't need to hear the rest...&*^%(&^ eyeballs!  smooth stuff!
