5e3 kit - filament center tap
« on: June 01, 2015, 10:56:06 am »
Does the filament center tap (2 100ohm resistors to ground on the lamp) need to be connected to the first power tube, or can it be connected to any tube? I cut the wires too short but I can still reach the second power tube.

*Anywhere* in the amp will work fine. Fender connected it to the pilot lamp ass'y, of all places. Probably, the closer to the power supply, the better.

Ok great, this will be cleaner for me. I will connect second power tube -> Lamp -> 100 ohm resistors -> ground.
