They just played this song at the very end of NCIS. This is 1 of THE most beautiful songs I've have ever heard without a doubt!

Yeah, this "classic" country is not cool anymore.  I would listen to this before any of the pseudo country rock crap these days.  Am I just getting old?   Good stuff Willabe!

Brother, I only heard it because it was the back round music in the last scene of NCIS tonight.

The clip I posted is not what was aired on NCIS tonight, I think it's a promo she released? But you can hear it's there!

Thing is, to me there's a 'quality' of tone in her voice and her delivery that's the 'real deal'!!!!!! And the lyrics, timeless!

Am I just getting old?

Cut me to the core.

To me, words are words in a song, but when sung by the right voice, for that lyric's story line, with the right delivery, you hear the soul of those lyrics.     

I believe her when she sings it and that's the point to me. Have to make the song come alive when you sing it to touch someone with it down deep. It's in her delivery, her phrasing and vocal inflections. She breaths life into it like an actor on stage or the big screen.
