I saw the Jefferson Airplane. Another loss. Lots of talent there especially for that era.

Saw them at the New Orleans Pop Festival Sept 1, 1969:

I watched them on the N.C. State campus, from about 20 feet away.  I'm going to say that the time was around 1970.  Maybe '71.  Grace was a pretty young girl.  I'm thinking she was older than me by a year or two.

I saw Hot Tuna in the early 70's without Kantner and later in the early 80's with Kantner.  Great Band.  Saw Starship in the early 80's in their Micky Thomas video revival years with Kantner.  Grace was still looking good.  Really tight great band.  Always liked Kantner's playing as well as Chaquico.  We are losing these guys....
