1969 Super Reverb leaking reverb with pot at zero
« on: June 18, 2016, 01:15:56 pm »
Hello,
as thread title implies I have a problem with a '69 Super Reverb: I can still hear a faint reverb even with reverb pot at zero. I replaced the pot with a CTS one to no avail. Any suggestion?
Thank you!

Can you totally kill the reverb by turning it off with the footswitch?

Use a gator jumper clip lead connected between the middle lug of the reverb pot and chassis ground. Does this kill the reverb?
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!
