Hi guys, Had SOOOOOOOOOO much fun building my kit guitar  :BangHead: :cussing:

Looks like a fun project!  THANKS for sharing. 

I would recommend analine dye over water based or oil based stain.  And I prefer water based analine dye but have used alcohol based also.

Check out reply #5 on this thread for dye and lacquering a guitar.  Really pretty easy to do.

To your question on staining, always stain after all work is done.  Glue will block stain, but you need to be good at sanding away excess glue so that the stain can take.  On the other hand, if you stain first, and then need to sand, you get ugly stain.  I found this out the hard way on my cabinet builds.  Looking great btw!  I've been thinking of buying a neck from Warmoth and doing a body myself as well...

Always stain things last thing before you start finishing.  Otherwise, it is likely to get damaged before you start finishing.

Just need to get some plastic to cover the control box and switch.
I have a mate that is going to do some work on the neck to rectify a few problems. :icon_biggrin:
