Fender Amp Convenience outlet and 67 Princeton Reverb
« on: January 20, 2017, 03:35:06 pm »
Howdy all.

I am looking for a supplier, to get a Fender style convenience outlet.
I got one from somewhere... when I did my Bassman 70 into a Dumble build.

Do not know where I got it.
Looking for a 3 pin grounded one.

Redoing a 67 Princeton Reverb, and the owner wants a 3 wire power cord,
and the outlet to match.
This amp is incredibly clean, other than a couple bad caps in the can, and the bias cap shorted,
and the speaker hosed... not any rust or discoloration to the chassis.

The can cap is a Sprague, and the orange and blue banner label is perfect.
I may just rebuild it, and stick it back on there...

Likely will stick a Jensen C10N speaker in it, as those sound better than the Oxford jobby
that was also found in these amps.  And in this one... burned VC.

Not even a spiderweb in there... never seen one this clean.

I would place this one in the $2600 on up value...

I mentioned for him to keep the original power cord, for when he sells it.
I will disconnect the ground switch and death cap, and bypass them.
No need to remove them.

Thanks!

Those are hard to come by, buy them all.  I found a lot of 40 so I grabbed em.
