It broke my heart and my wallet paying for kitchen sink-base and trash-drawer. Judging by unglued veneer and cracked joints, I'm sure they churn these things out faster than the eye can see, but they charge like their stuff was gold.
Maybe I should get a kitchen re-do estimate from you.....
PRR, not the same people I assure you. I had them make me solid maple drawer boxes and I used the soft close drawer guides. Put corian on top in my kitchen. I prefer man made to granite. This was after I paid good money for a cabinet shop to build me some that either stuck, were cocked or the bottoms did not hold.
These guys do Baker, Henredon, Bernhardt furniture grade in the same machines.
The other day they had a desk outside then had made from old termite infested wood. Sounds gross. Of course all was treated and filled with a aqua epoxy based filler. The only way I knew about it is Bob, the owner wanted to add some LED lighting and came over to ask if I would show them how to do this.
I really appreciate nice woodworking and which I were able to do it myself. I can make some things, but my perfectionistic attitude kills me in woodworking.
For instance, I made am a couple of head boxes last month and one of them I could just barely feel the dovetails. I normally do finger joints, but I thought I would try dovetailing. So in my infinite wisdom I decided to trim just a smudge off the edge and rounder again.
Certainly I left the table saw blade a little to high and jammed the box in the jig. So now instead of stain, this one gets tolex.
This is why I am fairly good at doing tolex.
