Tube Find

Found a box of tubes at an estate sale. As I was leaving my wife says, did you see the tubes? Yeah. Under the work bench? Oh! Back inside the garage found the second box. All appear to be as represented on the box; even some of the older number tubes, 80, for example. Not sure what I'm going to do but I'll keep some around so I could build a short wave- If I had to.

those 6F6-G would make a killer little 10-11W amp with 300-325V to the plates in fixed or auto bias. use a 10K Ra-a load such as the hammond 1609A or the edcor GXPP-10K.

Were they used in a commercial build? I'm thinking my friend from the late 60's had a Gibson that may have used them.

worked this up - should work well but may need tweaking - a poor man's supro. i call it: El Gringo
