Thanks! A lot of those I have done and a lot I haven't especially with the optional wiring like the Dan Armstrong, blend pot sounds interesting. I never had a strat where I got the neck and bridge at the same time.

I don't like treble bleed circuits. I like my sound to mellow up when backing off the volume.

Never thought about the neck pocket issues like cleaning and double checking neck screw tightness.

Putting a wood block behind your trem block would definitely help with the tuning if you break a string but IMHO wouldn't be true floating. I just keep an extra backup guitar handy in case of string breaks. I tried Vehagen(Spelling?) slanted trem claw method several years ago and couldn't tell much of a difference. I just set my claw straight with three springs also straight.

On string trees I'm starting to move toward Gotoh staggered classic tuners with the slotted shafts for the string ends to go down into the slot like the old fenders keys. That way you can do away with string trees all together.

I probably just need to set aside one of my project strats for experimentation to try some of the listed tricks I haven't tried. I went back and forth between tele and strat last few years on which I liked the best but can say the strat has won without a doubt simply because its better versatility over the tele. The tele is still cool but it's kinda like Brad Pasely says, it's a cutting board with a neck:>) Platefire
