I should remind you Georgia is not like land locked with a muddy river flowing through it and some halfassed McDonalds golden arch, where the only influence from the origins of music came from River Boat Banjo.
Boom goes the dynamite

guess that is why you prefer old strings, they make the pig squeel like a Banjo
The KT88 just got inserted, (picture Ned Beatty) :l2:

Yeah yeah yeah. Blah blah blah. I see your lips moving but nothing of importance is coming out.

Chuck Berry lived under that Mickey D’s arch along with Ike and Tina and so many others it would make your list look like the B team. Most important was a kid with an amazing amp and 16 speakers. A setup that was probably illegal down in the peach trees as being an lethal weapon.

To quote Mr Ferrari: The Ferrari is a dream - people dream of owning this special vehicle and for most people it will remain a dream apart from for those lucky few.

Now substitute Major for Ferrari and you got it. You see my life is fulfilled. That’s why you can’t make me mad!  And I’m really not a good guy - but better than most, nothing like the Dark Lord.....

Mr Ferrari never said Mr Chuck Berry should steal Eldin Shamblin's Ida May and change it to Maybellene.  BTW, all peers of Chuck Berry made fun of him for liking Country Music.  Chuck Berry's Rock and Roll influenced guys like Luther Perkins, Cliff Gallop and even Jeff Beck.  See Chuck Berry's style could be considered blues by chord formation which you and I am sure Drummer Jim Marshall who you failed to reference with you Pig comment, probably cannot understand.  Let me just say there are 12 notes and different types of music are all made from the 12 notes including the cents in between.  Guys like me call those quarter bends.  Guys like you say I need more distortion, my guitar is out of tune.

Ike Turner is from Mississippi, but you can have him.  He simply was another Barry Gordy.  A Black Man whe took advantage of his own people and would be absolutely nothing had it not been for John Fogerty the lady from NUTBUSH TENNESSEETina Turner. So I guess you and MR Ferarri can go look in the mirrror at the lines in your face and DREAM ON.  Nutbush Tennessee is close enough to Mississippi and Arkansas that I guess if you squint real hard you may be able to see and old half standing McDonalds building with a single gold arch, but in no way can you see the "archway to the midwest" and they call it that simply because what else can you call something that looks like an amusement ride with no thrill, something Mr Ferrari would strictly oppose.

My dope smoking Brother-in-Law lives Downtown St.Louis.  He reminds me of you.  He moved there, landlocked place, with the belief there was a better weed supply since the river was there.  Where the Dark Lord lives is where the weed is.  When it rains hard his house he rents, rents now, but it is in the best in-town location according to him, floods with sewage.  INSIDE THE HOUSE!!!  St Louis infrastructure problems.  Such a nice place for the boys ang girls, ecoli has bee found in the water supply 3 times in the last 7 years.  Sounds small, but it happened one time here in Georgia.  Macon.   They immediately closed all pipelines and changed reservours.  In St Louis the tell my Brother-in-law to boil his even though it is well known ecoli easily survives up to 180 degrees and often will survive a water pot boiled less than 2 minutes.  He argued and said the city said all you need to do is bring it to a boil.  Not true, but even if it were I still do not want known ecoli in the water source I am paying for.  Again I digress.  Your comments make me feel bad for you as it seems as you only experience the good life on vacation.

The only thing St Louis ever contributed was more mud to mud park in Memphis.  I guess they couldn't keep up with Sam Phillips and his crew of players in TENNESSEE, so the decided in a way to sort of soil on them.  Jelousy I say.

Even your Chuck wore a sailors captian cap to prove he could riverboat banjo with the best.  Had a baby with one of his grandchildren that he did not know was his grandchild until years later when DNA testing became available.  I guess he did try hard enough to be a star, not like you and me whe decided our family shoud come first.  That makes him a father and greatgrandfather at the same time.  He DID NOT PLAY A STRAT!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot believe a man of you moral character would even mention Ike Turner, much less claim wrongly he was from St Louis.  A psycotic, woman beating, controling criminal and he also had a mean side.  You actually mention this compared to Georgians like Jerry Reed or Collective Soul or even one I missed, Soul Miners Daugher who became Sugarland.

Jealous Green Jimbob.  You say I don't say anything, but your homework gets a failing grade.

Actually, Collective Soul made enough money to buy St Louis, but Will Turpin told me they wouldn't because it cost too much money to fix the Golden Toilet that has fallen backwards and they would not buy it unless the could flush it.

BTW, I did not know who was in the photo, but that was one big Strat.  Send me another.

And since you were paying so much attention to Jim Dandy’s and David Lee’s tights, you didn’t notice that one of the greatest drummers of our time, Tommy Aldridge, came from black oak.  Don’t mess with the master of useless R&R trivia. You are but a grasshopper.  I am your sensi.  I would have said daddy but there is no way we are related.  I don’t chase dudes on float trips.

Jim

You were the first to mention a dudes tights.  I wrote stage act.  You offered no excuse for Ike or Chuck, which means you agree so that makes me your daddy.

Now, let me tell you about rafting you old fart.  If you believe it is a dude only sport, you have no idea what rafting is all about.  I would never say publically exactly what happens, but if you ever have been to a Overnight Biker party, you should know.  The only difference is on the river no one gets high on crank, it is all organic.  You know, herbs for your enhancement of food and mushrooms on everything.

The average age is about 24, so I am over double and the ALL think it is cool.  When I started I weighed 232lbs, now I am 178.  These gals are in tremendous physical condition, not like the coked out babes who 40 years ago came to see you who are now IN THEIR 60's, but some still bleach, snort and listen to Tremonti.

The gals I hang around with listen to what they call Americana.  I just smile and take another hit, I mean play another hit.

But I really shouldn't tell you about this since you are so jealous by nature, but I also married someone quite youger.

Whos your Daddy!

The Rock Castle Airmen just got stolen.

Actually, beside Heart, STP was my Favorite From the Seattle Grunge and no I do not include the Zepplin Twins as grunge.  The were from Seattle is all.  Waiting on a Sunday Afternoon for whuuuut I believe

And you are absolutely correct.  I have worn musicians earplugs since doing sound for SevenDust, another Atlanta Band.  SevenDust is angry and loud.  I went to a multi-old fart show in North Georgia a few weekends ago.  The last band was Dave Lubeck and crew who like to call themselves Molly Hatchet.  Again, I digress.

Dave had 4, 100 watters for his rig.  Place holds 4,000.  I walked over and looked at the settings and I promise you everything was plugged and he had 8, 4 12's with greenbacks loaded.  I asked.  When I went back to my seat, I handed a freind and my wife earplugs.  They normally do not wear them.  Within the first minute of the opener, Bounty Hunter teh Sound System was clipping, overheating and going on and off.  They could not get up over the guitar.  I measured 110 db, at the center of the room.  It was easy, everyone left except the people working there and a very few outside listening.  Of course, my Freind is a vocalist and he was disappointed.  I like music loud, but 90 to 95 db is loud enough and often too loud unless it is AC/DC or similar.  That is gortta be loud.  Once you pass this point, your ears can no longer hear everything.

The Manager of the music facility stopped the show, walked up and with tact I could never manage, thanked them for coming and asked them to leave.  He should really only play outside anymore because the can't get gigs big enough for inside.

I had a mix CD loaded bands like this, I called it "daybefore", I'd get in my jeep, doors off, top down, 5:30am and drive through the local "hunting" areas the day before opening season with CD heavily amplified, fully cranked!
I was shot at once by a bow hunter, missed, not by much  :think1:
I left DNR enforcement to the officials after that

Wow, thanks for the update.  I was finding it hard to believe Dave Hlubek was dong this, but he wasn't.  I find the guy's name is Bobby Ingram.  I find this comforting as when the original band was just getting signed, Alex Cooley still owned the Agora Ballroom, previously known as the Electric Ballroom.  I was working with the crew at the show and the members were wanting a live recording of the show.  I stil have a copy of the reel and believe it or not, 8 tracks recorded from it.

The original members made up an really great group and I had never heard any vocals like Danny Joe Brown.  Public apoligy to Dave.  So there are actually no original members, so I do not feel bad for trashing them and they needed it.

I was sort of commenting on Shooters remark that we pay to see shows and the entertainers I think should deliver what they represent, however it was February 1978 when I worked the show which was a few years ago.  It is strange to me when a group has no founding members remaining they can still call themselves what the original members did.

So I will restate, If you hear of a band called Molly Hatchet, it is not them first and secondly if you must go, make sure it is outside.  Even though my earplugs can remove 31db, there was so much pressure from the air movement that it blurred my vision.  A reading of max 111 db means I was still hearing around 80.
