It all has to do with the ancient technique called “The Power Stance”.

Just for Silvergun, I've found a video of Mark Tremonti playing SG's favorite guitar.  This is not a joke folks!

Thank you?
Well, I do love that guitar but that video would have been more acurately titled "6 and a half minutes of pure suck"
 :help:
I wish it was a joke. Im embarrased for them.

Was the goal to purposely handicap themselves so it would distract from the extreme level of douchbagedness?  :dontknow:

You two should get a room!

Or take a cruise.
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

That was only a partial cleanse.  This is a full cleanse.  And to keep with the theme it features: Self Bias Resistor by Fear Factory.  Watch at your own risk and contact your chiropractor as needed.

"Be Prepared!" (Sadly now bankrupt.) _I_ built gear 45 minutes before I went to the gig, in case I needed to throw a starter in the Econoline, and then found a major flaw in the new-build (LM324 can be an awful audio amplifier, gimme tubes).

I played with a band that used a Econoline.  We sat on milk crates that slid when we stopped and finally the Bass player started laying down is Ampeg Cab.  Good times!

Geez, I hope I die before I get to 1 watt amps.  Ed, don't go all SG on me now!!!  I knew you wouldn't like this amp.  Even with all the overdrive, it would not make that weird shaped plank if a guitar you got sound good - it does not quack, spank, or plink.  It seems all the amps you like these days will only do just that, and do it quietly.  Sorry, my friend, you've just been CAUTERIZED!!!!

Pete,
You wouldn't know good music if it hit you on your head or your ladyparts.  You and Willabe introduced a bunch of estrogen into my headbanger thread.  Ed is talking about easy listening chicken picking at miniscule volume.  If anything is "ewww", it's you guys (gals?).  Come on dudettes, take off your skirts and get with the program!   :headbang: It's a big world out there, I'm trying to expand your horizons - and keep you from wearing Birkenstocks with socks….  In public....

Back in the early 70's a local radio station used to sponsor a kite fly/BBQ at Forest Park (site of the 1904 Worlds Fair, Meet me in St. Louis and all that...).  The radio station would bring in new bands to play at the event.  It got HUGE!!!  They brought in Rush and Kiss before they were anybody for example.  A DJ who was brand new at the time was sent to pick up Kiss at their hotel in the radio station's van (Econoline).  There was one seat and the driver was occupying it.  He had no idea who Kiss where and thought they were pretty silly in their makeup so he was taking the corners a little fast and stopping and starting with a little more urgency watching Kiss roll around in the back of the van in their costumes and platform shoes.  When he got to the stage he found that the little coleman generators where breaking down and Kiss' manager (a very big dude with an attitude) was threatening him saying they would not go on unless they brought in more generators.  He went to the station owner thinking he would get fired as he was the one who rented the units.  The owner was sitting in a lawn chair drinking a beer.  He said, Look out there.  There has to be more than 20,000 people here today.  That's more people than this clown band has ever seen in their life.  They will go on.  Sit down.  Have a beer.  :l2: They went on and the crowd loved them.  Gene and Paul opened up one of their restaurants here a few years ago and the same radio station interviewed them.  Gene remembered it well and said that was the most people they had ever played to for even a year or so after.  He also recounted the story about rolling around in the radio station's van getting to the venue!

Jim,
Maybe you are correct, but I have never used a 1 watt amp, but I KNOW you have used one of those little stomp box amps.  Hot one I believe.

Here is how I believe a guitar should sound.

Oh yea, and a Hammond B3 through a Major sounds good too.

Remember, I will be 2nd row to your favorite copycat Joe Bonamassa and everyone on this forum spanked you butt when you dissed him.  I generally ignore your tasteless comments, but if you have never seen Joe, you should take earplugs.

Didn't you tell me you had to remove you panties to pee?

And Jim, I played a Marsahll Super Lead, 1968 wide open on stage in the last 6 months.  All you do is take photos at Disney that make it look like you are playing a Strat.

I am sure you use Snapchat too, but let me tell you the truth.  That Snapchat girlfriend you have is NOT Freddy Mercury, Freddy is dead, yes that is what I said.

Come on!

Didn't even listen because I stood on a Ridge and Shunned Religion.

To play, just use Sweet Home Alabama Chords, except use the Minor mode instead of Mixolydian.  Take me across the water and look at yourself.  If we keep this up someone will post Head East and Argent soon.

I'm from the other side of the stage, you know, the folk paying econoline gas!
there are a million bars with bad bands, acoustics, yahdeeda.  When you find "the music", you don't want to watch a bunch of premeeMadonnas competing for instrument ATTENTION

How the heck did my metal thread go so wrong...… :offtopic1:

However, since it's so far off the rails now lets get a few things straight.

Up here: Deep Purple

Way down here: Uriah Heep
Mick Box - good rhythm player no where near Ritchie
Kerslake - monster drummer but I'd still take Paice
Byron - could give Gillan a run for his money in range but not overall ability
Hensley - could not fit his head through a normal doorway, wanted to be Lord. Not even.
Deep Purple lite wanna-be's
If you are gonna post some UH songs don't get lazy and post those silly tunes, that's a cop out.  At least give them their props with July Morning and Salisbury - THOSE show some chutspah!

Ed,
Why waste your money.  I can send you a few CD's that would cover what you are going to hear.  However, they will be of the original artists because HE HAS NO ORIGINALITY.

Ritchie and Rainbow pretty much pulled the rug out from under Head East with their version of Since you've been gone.  Head East guys were nice, met them several times.

Speaking of originality.  Argent.  Awesome tune.

Geez, you guys have screwed up my epic Tremonti thread so bad it might get moved to Other Topics.  Thanks a lot....
