John Prine
« on: March 30, 2020, 10:40:03 am »
John Prine has Covid and is in critical condition on a ventilator.
I first saw him perform right after the release of his first album in 1971. He turned down a hotel room and stayed in my friends apartment in Portland, Maine.
Then I next saw his first electric concert after he released Sweet Revenge. A great songwriter, performer, and just a nice guy.
Please hang-on John.

Those interested are probably already in the know, but John is doing better now. There are some nice tributes on the Web, including one from Brad the Guitologist.

John died today - so sad - he was a bright light that spoke to so many people.

Memories they can't be boughten
They can't be won at carnivals for free
Well it took me years
To get those souvenirs
And I don't know how they slipped away from me
