Wow, he made it to 94.  Sad to see this disease take another life. 

His son, John is a fantastic guitarist and I have been listening to him on CD's for yrs.

Sad to get this news. What a stellar and varied career he had. I was glad to read that he was at home and not in an ICU, and I hope his wife was able to stay home too. Too much sad news these days - hope we can get ahead of this thing.

I was not sure if the Pizzarellis were local to where I used to live in NJ, or generally known. The obit shows a long career.

My uncle stopped breathing. Was took to ER then ICU then, better, to a bed. But his wife can only "see" him by telephone. She says he sounds good but that's not the same as holding hands or bringing him a home-cooked muffin.

No - not at all the same PRR. I hope he does ok. The last of my parent's, aunts, and uncles died last year. A couple of them died early, but the rest of them lived into their 80s & 90s. I miss them all, but am glad they are not experiencing this at an advanced age.
