Looking for Deluxe Reverb cabinet construction plans
« on: September 24, 2020, 07:41:38 pm »
I'm building a circuit into a Deluxe Reverb chassis that has a 5F6-A sized OT. I'm not sure if the OT is going to bump into the speaker, so I'd like to take a look at a cabinet diagram to see if I need to specify a custom baffle when I order the cabinet from Mojotone. Does anybody have a construction diagram available for this?

Don't have diagram but I've squeezed in bigger transformers into DR boxes.  If that's a 4 bolt mount OT, best to use a cap can and loose doghouse to mount OT opposite end from PT.  Other option would be order a 2x10 baffle board.  If tranny is smaller, as in VIbrolux size, it can fit but must be mounted at an angle to clear speaker.

Send E mail to Mojotone.

I've inquired with them in the past on a similar topic - chassis diagram - and there policy is that they don't distribute that kind of documentation to customers.

I live in a remote area, otherwise I could run to a local shop that has a Deluxe Reverb and take a measurement.

May be as simple as choosing a speaker that will fit. I had to do that with a Deluxe Reverb that I crammed into a 5E3 cab.
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

I know that, I mean send your chassis measurements and ask if it will fit.

The Deluxe output transformer clears the speaker by 1/2 inch.  I believe the 5F6-A transformer is over an inch taller than the Deluxe, so the speaker would have to be moved over towards the Normal Input side.
