Anti-vibration mounting do it yourself

I've just seen this DIY anti-vibrating mounting solution and I've find it nice

think to those circuits that uses pentodes in V1

so I want to share with you

(ORings can also be the black version and the number can be set at your require)

I think you can play with the numbers of the O Ring and also with the kind of O Ring

at the same diameter they can be more or less sturdy

As is in number of O Ring and dimensions it seems it is planned more for an HiFi amp than an instrument amp

I must specify that for Noval sockets I've rubber mounted Geloso NOS sockets



the problem is to find Octal anti Vibration sockets

looking for a very log time for them

I've find only one time a pair of very nice ones, but also very expensives and didn't got it

Why the need these anti-vibration mounting ?

You want to built a tubes amp to use on a Off -road truck ?

Why not hang the frame in the cabinet with 4 big rubber or springs?

Why to re-invent the wheel?

I blew out a 33" on my jeep and had to drive 3 hours on the stock 26" spare.  top speed ~~ 20mph and even the gimbaled CD player didn't like the KAthunk, KAthunk as I rolled on down the road

what we ended up with for shock mounting - the socket used is a NOS amphenol top-mount with a very thick body. the amp is a parallel 6V6 SE based on the 1948 supro: same amp in this DSE thread. the cork actually helps with resonance/microphonics. that meatball RCA 6SJ7 tiene mucho mojo amigos. the mismatched 6V6 add some character to the tone. the OT is an Edcor USA made GXSE 2.5KΩ:4Ω model before they started using end bells on the entire GX line.
