output transformer compatibility

So I have an output transformer for two 7591s which as far as I can tell would be 6000 ohms. Would like to use this with two EL84s which calls out 8000 ohms.

Is this a workable combination or should I spend $60 or so on a new transformer?

how will you use the amp, if it's death metal night, maybe go for the $60, if it's covering the Bee Gee's you're probably fine
Went Class C for efficiency

blues harp with a compressor and a delay in front.

I think I can build with what I have and see how it does. upgrades are always an option.

I would be more concerned about the power transformer, and keeping the voltage down.

If you don't need every last milliwatt, lower supply voltage reduces stress on the EL84s and also leads to less current pulled through that 6kΩ OT.  "Less Volts" and "Less Current" results in less plate dissipation for the EL84s, further reducing stress on them.
