BTW, I think those videos are AI
I saw that he could say numbers and dates correctly sometimes
Does not matter because the fundamentals are correct
Others are saying basically the same thing
But they are not explaining things as clear as that AI guy

The Comex raised the margin to 25k per contract which shakes out all the weak hands
They have to pony up more money to keep their contact

ya, pretty much everything from here on out will be "run through" an AI system.
listened to someone explaining the basics of a "better" podcast presentation;

have an outline, bullet-point presentation, do a basic "once through", feed it to AI for the graphics, words/wording, tweak, rinse n repeat til happy

Silver pushing $80 again today! Big players are buying the dips expecting a longer run-up. I bought silver in the $25-35 range and am having a hard time pulling the trigger at $70+.
To an earlier point by Shooter, I do not think that confiscation silver is in the cards, but I would be pretty worried about crypto. I can imagine a scenario where trading is halted for "national security."

I would hold out for triple digit silver
This is not a hunt brothers speculative run up
The drop yesterday was Comex upping the margin for a contract and it forced weak hands to sell or pony up a bunch of money

Some factors:
China is banning silver exports as of Jan 1st except for some rare exceptions
Manufacturing usage has increased a huge amount because of cars, AI, etc
Mines are not able to keep up with demand
It takes years to establish new mines, so they are not going to have new supplies any time soon.

The comex does not have enough silver to supply those who want delivery
JP Morgan is now on the bull side with 750 million ounces of silver.
China has a new metals exchange and does not recognize the paper market manipulation that has gone on here in the last 20 years or more
China's delivery price was $100 an ounce yesterday, not the fake paper futures price you see reported here
The Gold to Silver ratio has been suppressed for many years and now it is returning to a more correct number

Go look at what a Silver Eagle is selling for
It was $82 yesterday, not $71

The real market is now physical silver not paper silver
Just hang loose and watch what happens

agreed, I did buy 3oz at $50, which brought my running average  to ~~$25/oz.
I am "shopping around" 5oz with the locals at $65/oz  they were all talk about buying, then I offered n well....I still got my 5oz.   :icon_biggrin:

Doug's got it right, all the big players have their physical hordes, paper has never been a wise move for the 'lil guy, so physical holdings are what will set the value.

I'm expecting a pull back to $50-60 within 6 months, then "normal" returns

Yup - my holdings are physical. Even if the price tanks (very unlikely and if it does we are probably in deep shit in a number of ways) I will have nice coins and bars to pass along to the youngins.

our local diner is a Apr-Dec kinda place, been a regular for 10 years, typically I'll pass on a silver 1/2 to one of the kids that "gets it", understands the work ethic, has a plan, etal.  when I pass on the coin I tell 'em "I'm Betting on the future"

Wait till 2026
The shortages will have a big affect
China has stopped exporting Silver as of today and they were a major source
Solar Panels, Cars, AI all need boat loads of Silver
Manufactures have to buy silver, they cannot stop making their products.

Right now the market is shaking out the weak hands
Paper Silver is loosing control of the manipulated pricing that has gone of for 20+ years
Physical Silver is now in the drivers seat

The totals for 2025
January 1 to December 31

Silver $29 to $75 + 259%
Gold 2657 to $4330 + 163%

Silver is way higher in the Shanghai exchange
Today's paper price of $71 is BS
A Silver Eagle is over $81 right now

Your best buy right now is American Silver coins or 90% silver

Also Platimum and Paladium

haven't re-verified but heard on radio couple weeks back Trump put copper on the "protected metals" list.  I expect from here on out for the next year or two, physical "assets" will rule, as Doug points out, the days of paper manipulation is done, time to put up the real deal or no deal.

I saw yesterday that silver was $130 in Japan

Any sort of dip here would be a buying opportunity since we already had a high of $84
Seems weird to say that $70 is a buying opportunity.  :icon_biggrin:

Likely the "Critical Minerals List" Copper was a most recent addition. Silver and Platinum were also added in the recent past. All three are needed to keep expanding renewable energy projects, EVs, and data centers. I have read that US copper mines are seriously depleted and we increasingly rely on imports.

Took a small load of scrap in this fall, most of the copper was "signal wire stuff" CAT 5, 24ga.......  I hadn't checked prices so my brain said "Maybe $12 on a good day"  kid came back, said I had to much to get paid directly so they would send me a check, in MI that "threshold" is $25.  he said I had $31.77 worth!!, I had him just scrap $24 worth, with aluminum n brass, total was ~~$50, took that to the bullion store n bought couple OZ silver in the low $20's

There's so much talk about silver going to $100 that I am thinking there is going to be a correction
Possibly down as low as $50 before the bull market continues

When you see a chart zooming straight up and everyone is talking about going to $100, that makes me step back.
Gareth Soloway is one of my favorite chart technicians
He is saying the same thing

I just watched this one and Gareth has some good info

agreed, posted awhile back that I expected a pull-back to $50-60

also watched a clip on how the big-dogs were still manipulating the futures market at the expense of the retail buyer.
even at $50 that's 100% ROI for me  :icon_biggrin:

Agree - $50 is a buy. Also, if it drops to a level between $50 and $60 and stabilizes there for more than a few days, I will likely buy a limited amount. But I think it's a volatile situation as a lot of the demand is driven by speculation that AI will drive a massive construction of data centers. Maybe it will :dontknow:

eventually, I expect a 21st century version of the "tech-bubble" in the 20th century, then once all the "small-fry" have been driven out, the big-dogs will plow forward...(forward being in the eye of the beholder:)

Chased the rabbit a bit. This is a good synopsis https://carboncredits.com/big-bet-bigger-stakes-korea-zincs-7-4-billion-smelter-reshapes-u-s-critical-minerals-supply/
Departments of Defense and Commerce funds involved utilizing the Chips act. Partnership with Korea. Facility will be an integrated smelter capable of producing 13 non-ferrous critical and precious metals, including silver.

I get pretty skeptical when guvmint "buys into" private business, pretty sure that's part of the classic description of Socialism.
so do "we the People" get a dividend check each year??  Is the dividends tax exempt???  How do we go to vote our shares?
It's a pretty slippery slope.......
