the "news" said Trumps FED appointment will lead to higher interest, a stronger, more stable dollar, giving investors more confidence, resulting in less buys into metals as a hedge. Plus CCP has been selling of Treasuries' for a year n buying metals with those proceeds, de-coupling CCP from influencing the U.S. $$

same numbers i'm seeing in the shorts, nobody that I've looked at is shorting below $70...so far.

If it gets stable at $70-$90, i'll probably use my 1oz ".99 rounds" as money to buy USD silver coins

Here's some interesting news about the big dive that silver took
It was done on purpose as we already have figured out but here's some details

An investor dropped 674 million ounces of Silver onto the futures market at the most thinly traded time with the sole purpose to drive the price of silver down.
When the New York market opened, the algorithms kicked in

most of the folks i've watched are saying basically the same, since it's a pretty good bet none of use here are "in the know", that 'ol, outdated, 20th century; "common sense" should be our guide.

You can ping a silver round and it has a specific tone
Pocket pinger is one but there may be cheaper versions
I have seen them in action and they do work

I use my 'ol metal detector, calibrate it on a known good metal then test the unknowns.

gold is a tricky one, since it "sets" real close to streel, then ya gotta break out the good magnet to eliminate ferrous junk.
