Isolation Transformer 300VA

Hello there,
I'm looking to buy an iso transfo for the mains.
I have an opportunity to buy a used one @ 300VA.
So assuming I will operate at 120V, what are real world expectations as far as how many amps it can handle?
I can do the basic math but I was thinking maybe this needs to be twice the working values much like caps in the power section?
For those of you that use this, whats your minimum ratings (VA)?

Calculate "Volt-Amps" like "Watts."  They're not the same, but close enough here.

300VA / 120V = 2.5A

No need to de-rate; that should have been handled by the manufacturer.  So this transformer will deliver 2.5A max.
