You saved the country
« on: November 10, 2024, 07:10:20 am »
For standing up and saving your country on Tuesday, you saved the Supreme Court, you saved the Electoral College, you saved us from another 20 million illegal aliens.
You've saved our economy, you saved our cops our police force.
You've saved our military, you saved the American Constitution and Declaration of Independence.
People seem to forget what was on the line here.
Everything was on line here.
We dodged a bullet.
President Trump literally dodged a bullet and we dodged a bullet on Tuesday.
The extent of Donald  Trump's historic nature, iconic nature really isn't understood because we're too close to it.
They'll understand it 50 or 100 years from now.

Indeed, when the icecaps have melted, many of today's major cities and vast tracts of prime agricultural land are below sea level.

Since I was a kid we were facing another ice age, A flip in the magnetic poles, a couple asteroid / comet direct hits, global warming then turned to "climate change" when we started to cool a bit, apocalyptic volcanic explosions that fill our entire atmosphere in soot and ash. The oceans to rise up to 12' (but only in some areas)
(water will cease to seek it's own level)  :dontknow: :w2: :help:
The list seems to go on and on and when it doesn't happen a new narrative comes about.

They all seem to only have two things in common;
1. They just don't seem to happen
2. Taxes go up to prevent the next impending disaster

STOP DRINKING THE LIBERAL KOOL-ADE!  :think1: :sad2: :l2:

I used to write "musings by Dave" as I would cross paths with each new generation, this one was for a beta-male confused kid, seems appropriate here

It's not about view point, it's about all these phony reports on climate change that the authors cook the numbers on.

For example, they keep saying that hurricanes have increased in number and intensity. Not true, they have not increased in number and intensity. There was a well quoted, and pushed, supposed study done on this and it turned out they left out all data before, I don't remember the exact year, it was something like in the early 40's? So without the data that was left out, it looked like there was a pretty big increase, but add the left out data back in and no increase, and actually, hurricanes have lessened a little in number.

And they keep saying that hurricanes have increased in intensity, not true. What their going by is damage in $$. But what it really is is the population has gone up like 60% in the areas affected by hurricanes. So way more buildings, way more damage. But the stormes themselves aren't any stronger.

I would have a much better chance at believing if they'd stop cooking the books.

I try hard to stay above the fray
as an engineer, I apply "scientific principles(20the century, the 21st has no principles)" when "measuring" each side, I tally up the lies found and take the side of "least lied to"
Willabe pointed out a couple.

one of my favorite things once a kid made it through my climbing classes, and went out to the real rock, we'd finish the climb, I'd watch the kid's amazement, then pretty soon, every last one would be looking at the top of the mountain, at the details of the rock, and say;
"hey dave, why are there sea shells way up here??"
 :icon_biggrin:

EDIT: Took me a minute to find these
the #1 answer I get when I use data with "the other side".....  "That's just Bull sheet, doesn't prove anything"
sometimes you just have to agree to disagree, which is almost impossible to accept by "the other side"

For me, if I were on the other side of the pond, I'd be far more worried about Sharia law taking over and the mass persecution of Christians.
But, hey, that's just me.  :dontknow:

the "big picture" with virtually any "debate" neither side can or will agree to "rules".  Hoyle knows poker, Robert's know meetings.......

my 1st question when debating climate changing;
where in history can we agree that ALL data prior to "that date", man has no effect beyond the margin of error"
90% can't understand the question, 5% just leave, 1% stay and start arguing emotionally, I leave

Indeed, when the icecaps have melted, many of today's major cities and vast tracts of prime agricultural land are below sea level.
Drill baby drill!

These fools who think that humans are totally responsible for climate change think small.
They know nothing of the earth's history.
In fact we are still at the tail end of an ice age, so yes, the earth is warming up as it has done many times in the 4 billion years.
It has also been completely covered in ice and was known as snowball earth

Quote
In between ice ages, some lesser peaks of temperature have occurred a number of times, especially around 125,000 years ago.
At this time, temperatures may have been about 1°C to 2°C degrees warmer than today.
Sea level was 5 to 8 meters higher than today

8 meters is 26 feet higher
Sea level has also been way lower
As the earth becomes ice bound and sunlight is bounced back up off the white, the water goes into the ice sheets and sea level goes way down.

The earth moves through a huge loop through the milky way galaxy and things change all the time.

Quote
FOR billions of years, Earth has been on a perilous journey through space.
As our planet whirls around the sun, the whole solar system undertakes a far grander voyage, circling our island universe every 200 million years.
Many of these marvels may well have been deadly, raining lethal radiation onto Earth’s surface or hurling huge missiles into our path.
Some may have wiped out swathes of life, smashed up continents or turned the planet to ice.
Others may have been more benign, perhaps even sowing the seeds of life.

Here's a fun fact. People who know nothing about the earths history need to STFU (Greta Thunberg)

You should all just be happy to be alive because 11,000 years ago, humans were almost wiped off the planet.
Go look into the Younger Dryas impact

And BTW, my post is about how you saved the country, not about how the Earth climate changes as it moves through space.
