  does a kt66 wire up and work the same as a 6l6gc im waining to use 6l6 instead of kt66 in my jtm45 project can i wire up socket and circuit the same using 6l6 instead of kt66?  mark

 Its the same, the only different one is a el34 which I believe has to tie pin one and eight together. The kt66 and 6l6 are for all intents and purpose the same thing.

Ps: The jtm45 is really just a bassman, if you want to see if there are any changes, look for a tweed bassman schematic or layout as they used 6l6's.

The kt66 and 6l6 are for all intents and purpose the same thing.
Other than KT66 requiring more than 1.5 times the heater current of 6L6.

thanks ill build on then, the pt im gonna use i measurred at 540 plate voltage with just the recto tube in it so i can exspect hi plate voltage and will need a little bigger dropping resistors this should be an adventure but ive gotta try something new   mark
