I came across a thread which discussed placing snubber caps in parallel with the diodes in the rectifier circuit, claiming this reduced the switching noise of the diodes and produced a quieter build, yet I haven’t seen any other reference to this - has this been made moot by the use of the bridge, or is there any other reason not to do this?

Also, I’m thinking about using blue Sozo caps instead of the Xicons for the coupling caps…is it fairly straight forward to increase the spacing of the turrets in the board editor to accommodate longer caps?

The same switching noise exists whether you have a half-wave, full-wave, or full-wave bridge rectifier.

If you want to use the snubber caps, add them across each section of the bridge (or bridge-package).
